| Conventional HWDP provides a gradual transition from heavy drill
collars to relatively light drill pipe. This gradual change in weight
and rigidity reduces connection fatigue problems and increases the
service life of the drill. HWDP simplifies directional control in
high-angle and horizontal drilling situations since it bends more
easily than drill collars. Spiral-Wate™ HWDP reduces differential sticking problems, minimizes wear and improves circulation.
