Drill String Services offers a full line of pipe inspection and machine shop services around the clock to meet its customers’ drilling component needs. Specialists include certified inspectors and skilled CNC machine operators to ensure quality and efficiency on every project.

Drill String Services specializes in ultrasonic pipe inspection using the latest in nondestructive testing (NDT) procedures and drilling component manufacturing using CNC lathe technology.

Its services include EMI (electromagnetic inspection) with continuous wall loss measurement; wet and dry magnetic particle inspection; A-SCAN full-body inspection; hardness testing; pressure testing; inside diameter (ID) and outside diameter (OD) cleaning; portable refacing; straightening; rotary shoulder connection repair; sub manufacturing; bead blasting, zinc phosphate or copper sulfate plating; and tubing and casing repair.

As a certified ISO 9001:2008 and API Spec Q1 company, quality is an integral part of every product and service provided.

In addition to providing on-site services via mobile units, its facilities offer covered, concrete work areas for inspections, dockside access for boats and barges, pipe storage, full-length ultrasonic pipe inspection, CNC machine shop and hardbanding services. Drill String also is a TenarisHydril Authorized Repair Facility.
